Vanuatu’s citizenship program is unique in how simple the requirements are. Some of the main advantages of choosing Vanuatu’s citizenship program over other similar programs include:

The Citizenship Process
The process involves a preliminary verification and due diligence verification. Once the verification is passed for all applicants the next steps in the process are straight forward and the journey to obtaining your Vanuatu citizenship will take about four to six weeks.
The Applicant(s) submit via Signature a certified true copy of their current passport plus a Police Clearance Report, Birth Certificate and a Personal Profile.
This will be on-forwarded to the Vanuatu Government’s due diligence provider, the VFIU.
This step will require the applicant(s) to pay a non-refundable fee for the due diligence check. This can take up to 3 working days.
Once an applicant receives written confirmation of passing checks by the VFIU, the applicant – under guidance of Signature – completes all documentation and moves to the next step.
At this stage, the applicant(s) will enter into a formal agreement with the Signature as the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission’s designated agent to begin the processing of the application.
Signature will assist you in completing all documentation and at this stage you are ready to make the full payment to obtain your Vanuatu citizenship.
Payment is made directly to Signature as your Government Approved Citizenship Agent.
The verified application is submitted to the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission Screening Committee.
The Screening Committee will make a recommendation to the Citizenship Commission before it convenes each month to verify all applications.
A letter is then issued by the Citizenship Commission to the applicant confirming the application as approved.
This is the longest step in the process and may take up to 14 days.
The final step is the applicant taking their Oath. This will be commissioned by the Vanuatu Government’s Commissioner of Oaths.
In this ceremony the new Citizen receives their Certificate of Vanuatu Citizenship as well as their new Vanuatu Passport.
UPDATE July 2020: Due to the global pandemic this ceremony can now be taken remotely via video link and your citizenship documents safely couriered to you.
